TBM-Total Body Modification
TBM (Total Body Modification) is an advanced type of kineseological testing and an assessment tool used by a wide variety of physicians. It uses a neuro-muscular reflex test to analyze organ function in the body. TBM is best utilized to assess, reset, and stabilize organs and bodily functions by stimulating reflex points situated along the spine, which will then amend imbalances of everyday functions of the body. Essentially, it helps the practitioner to understand what is causing the patient’s symptoms and what steps should be taken to correct any issues.
The TBM practitioner tests the strength of the arm muscle by asking the patient to resist any amount of pressure given. The practitioner then taps a body point (often acupuncture points) and then retests the arm muscle. If a specific point in the body causes weakness in the arm, than the associated organ is likely frail. Total Body Modification is not diagnostic but is extremely beneficial in determining the blockages that are contributing to poor health. It is an excellent tool which reveals whether there are issues with digestion, circulation, viruses, fertility, menstrual function or thyroid function. TBM is also an essential tool for testing for food sensitivities.
Food Sensitivity Testing
Dr. Townsend,ND may use both TBM (Total Body Modification) and EDS (Electro Dermal Screening) testing in her office for the evaluation of food sensitivities. This testing is beneficial in determining which foods weaken the body and therefore should be eliminated for a period of time in order to support the body’s healing response. She may also requisition an IgG blood test which is then sent to a lab for evaluation. A full report of food intolerance’s is given to the patient with recommendations on the dietary changes necessary to improve symptoms and overall health.
